My latest post was written in a hotel lobby. While I admittedly had to drag myself to the work, I actually really enjoyed writing in that space. It was quiet but not too quiet, private but not too private. There was no other reason to sit there besides doing the work, so it was easy to make myself do it. Also, something about the anonymity of it allowed me space to sink into the emotions of what I was writing. I was genuinely surprised by all of this!
We talk a lot about where we love or prefer to write, but where have you written that surprised you? (This can be for the better or worse.) How did it affect your writing and/or your process? I can’t wait to hear!

One of my favorite ways to write is on the go, because the movement helps get out some of my bursts of energy after writing something I'm proud and gets juices flowing for the next passages. This can be walking between a park and a coffee shop or stopping at benches along a nature trail. Often I've done it on paper or via voice recorder but my most recent essay ("The Necessity of Silliness") I put directly on my phone, which saved me the energy of transcribing it later.

I love this Jeffree! Movement definitely stirs things up for me, too. Thanks for sharing!
